CRKC Scholarship Website: http://scholarshipscrkc.weebly.com/
All seniors will submit applications for a minimum of eight (8) outside scholarship opportunities. This does NOT include institutional scholarships that are automatically awarded based upon the application for admission.
Scholarship applications must be for opportunities presented by Miss Hart or approved in advance. Seniors are absolutely encouraged to apply for additional scholarships for which they are qualified. Class credit is awarded for each approved scholarship submitted - even beyond the required eight applications.
Approved scholarship opportunities will be presented to seniors via email once, sent to parents/guardians for whom Miss Hart has an email address, posted to the scholarship website, and the deadline noted on the Senior Seminar class calendar. No reminders will be sent in advance of deadlines. It is the student's responsibility to note and meet deadlines.
Log-in credentials must be added to the credentials tracker in your COLLEGE folder on Google Drive, as multiple scholarship opportunities require the upload of school specific documents.
The same format will be used for all scholarship opportunities which clearly notes minimum criteria in order to apply, deadlines, award dollar amounts, etc. PAY ATTENTION TO THE QUALIFICATIONS.
Miss Hart often sets an earlier internal deadline than the one created by the scholarship organization itself. The posted CRKC deadline must be met! Miss Hart typically has a lot of work to do, as well, in order for scholarship applications to be completed (letters of recommendation, official transcripts, etc.).
When possible, at the time that the scholarship opportunity is sent, Miss Hart will indicate whether or not we have had any CRKC graduates who earned that particular award.
For online scholarship applications, seniors must upload a confirmation screenshot or confirmation email to your Scholarship Apps subfolder on Google Drive.
Hard copy/paper applications need to be completed by the student, then returned to Miss Hart. She will compile the remaining required documents and mail the application on your behalf.
REMEMBER! Have you been able to find a job that pays $500 or $1000 (or more) for just an hour's worth of work? It is worth the effort to apply for outside scholarships! Multiple CRKC graduates have financed living on campus or have been able to attend school without taking out student loans...all because of their work on these scholarship opportunities. You do NOT have to be the perfect student to earn a scholarship, either!
